The small bar and accompanying Middle Eastern-inspired 27 Restaurant open up to a large, tree-lined patio, garden, and pool, all of which will almost make you forget that you’re next to South Beach.

Unlike most of the clubby bars in the area, The Broken Shaker feels a little more grown up, like somewhere that both college spring breakers and a group in their thirties could enjoy. Yes, there will probably be a bouncer and club-goers present, but this spot has great drinks and it’s one of the better options in the area.

What started as a pop-up in 2012 on the patio of an Art Deco building on Miami Beach quickly became permanent when owners Gabe Orta and Elad Zvi realized they had something exceptional. On order are fresh bar snacks and the team’s own version of tropical cocktails that are quintessential Miami.

Guests are whisked into a tropical retreat where vintage Florida furniture fills the courtyard like a living room. The corner bar is where some of the city’s best bartenders create unique creations.

Menu offers monthly and seasonal cocktails, which change to keep the list fresh, using exotic herbs and spices to help guests explore new tastes and flavors. And a daily punch special is always available with fresh herbs from Broken Shaker’s own garden.
